Encapsulation Carpet Cleaning (Low Moisture)
What is encapsulation carpet cleaning?
Encapping is a very low moisture or “dry” type of cleaning that uses polymers to encapsulate and crystallize stains and dirt for immediate vacuuming. These polymers act like small sponges. The crystals absorb and hold dirt and soil to be vacuumed out, leaving no sticky residue and providing a deep clean. For the past few decades, encapsulation has gained popularity and garnered a reputation for both commercial and residential carpet cleaning. The benefits of encapsulation carpet cleaning are much faster dry times, no sticky residue and affordable cost. This process is ideal for those looking for a maintenance cleaning or “touch up” in between steam cleanings.
Our Encapsulation Cleaning Process
Our technicians will do a walk-through inspection with you to identify soiling conditions, carpet construction and potential permanent stains. For moderate to heavy soiling conditions our truckmount hot water extraction service will be recommended.
Protect Your Home
This is something we feel really sets our company apart. Corner guards are used to protect your walls, moving blankets are used to protect your hardwood floors and our popular Seal-A-Door is used to keep the cold air in during the summer and the cold air out during the winter.
Your carpets will be thoroughly vacuumed to remove bonded dry soil. 85% of soil in the average carpet is dry soil and is removed with this initial vacuum. Removing dry soil is one one of the most important steps in the cleaning process.
Furniture Moving (Optional)
Due to liability and safety concerns, our crew will not move entertainment centers, dressers or very large/heavy furniture. Sofas, chairs, coffee tables and end tables for example, can be moved. Just let us know what you would like moved and we will do our best to accommodate. *Our crew can move up to 6 items per household*
Apply eco-friendly encapsulation cleaning solution to the carpet fibers. This product is formulated so that it can be effectively used with virtually any low moisture cleaning process and works extremely well to clean and brighten the appearance of the carpet.
A rotary machine will be used to agitate or gently “scrub” the carpet to work the encapsulation solution into the fibers. Soiling condtions and carpet construction will determine the type of pad/bonnet to be used with our rotary machine. In some situations we may need to use multiple bonnets or pads such as a fiber pad, cotton bonnet or microfiber bonnet to achieve the best results.
Your carpets will be thoroughly groomed with a carpet rake to lift the carpet fibers and aid drying time. This gives a uniform appearance and “fluffs” the carpet by standing the fibers upright.
